Toshiba has put Regza on a diet

This morning, Toshiba Japan officially launched a new line of LCD TVs from the Regza family - C8000. Although all models in this series are positioned in the middle price range, they have a number of design features that are characteristic of more expensive models, writes CNet Asia.

We note, first of all, that they have a refresh rate of 100/120 Hz. In addition, their power consumption is 51% lower compared to the CV500. Their main technical characteristics are as follows:

- 42C8000: 42 inches, Full HD, 127 kW, 1300: 1 contrast ratio (13000: 1 dynamic contrast)
- 37C8000: 37 inches, Full HD, 119 kW, 1300: 1 contrast ratio (13000: 1 dynamic contrast)
- 32C8000: 32 inches, HD Ready (1366 × 768), 95 kW, 3000: 1 contrast ratio (30000: 1 dynamic contrast)

By the way, on all the above models there are 3 HDMI ports. True, they do not have a built-in multimedia player, but nevertheless, this does not detract from their merits.

Information about the cost and availability of Regza C8000 outside of Japan is not yet available.
