Sony Announces Surround Sound System CECH-ZVS1 for PS3

After yesterday’s press conference at E3, Sony made another announcement: this season the all-in-one Surround Sound System will appear for the PlayStation 3. The system will be sold worldwide at prices of $ 199 / € 199 / ¥ 19,800, audio reception will be via optical or analog inputs (HDMI 1.4 is not supported), and will also support Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG-2 AAC and Linear PCM audio formats. The company laid its S-Force PRO Front Surround technology into the HT-CT150 and HT-CT350 speakers to provide realistic surround sound without additional speakers, but they include a separate subwoofer, HDMI, and cost $ 100 or $ 200, respectively. All this is unlikely to interest real audiophiles, but for a simple living room or bedroom, such an update CECH-ZVS1 makes sense.
