Previously, engineers at Sphero have already released something similar. This project was the same name with the company Sphero 2.0 gadget, which is a radio-controlled ball, which could also be controlled using a smartphone or tablet. Ollie is an evolution of the old idea, thanks to which the gadget has learned to perform much more sophisticated tricks. It’s not for nothing that he got a name in honor of a popular skate trick when a skateboarder takes off with his skateboard without using his hands.

The device is able to accelerate to a speed of almost 25 kilometers per hour on a relatively flat surface and at the same time perform various tricks, such as rotation, drift, coups. The owner of the device can perform all these tricks by simply pressing the corresponding button in the official application for his smartphone. Ollie is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth LE, the reach radius can reach approximately 30 meters.

The standard equipment of the device includes two rubber tires, which are pulled on it from two sides, two plastic caps, a user manual, and a USB charging cable.
