# video of the day | "Iron Man" presented a bionic prosthesis to a seven-year-old boy

Роберт Дауни-младший

Like Tony Stark, “Iron Man,” Robert Downey Jr. became a superhero for a while — at least in the eyes of a seven-year-old boy. In a video published the other day, an actor in the form of Stark from the movie “Iron Man”, which he played, is presented by a working bionic prosthesis to seven-year-old Alex, who was born with a partially developed right arm.

Downey opens a pair of metal cases marked Stark Industries, shows an Iron Man's hand and a smaller red and gold prosthesis for Alex. The boy in the black shirt and red tie shyly admits that he is changing with Iron Man, whom he also calls Robert.

The bionic arm Alex received was created by an engineering student Albert Manero, who builds and donates 3D-printed bionic limbs to children around the world. Manero worked with Alex's family to create the perfect digital arm that Alex could move by straining his biceps.

Each bionic limb takes 50-70 hours of printing time and about 12 hours of assembly for Manero, he says. His company Limbitless Solutions is committed to eventually distributing 3D-printed limbs around the world so that children living in countries without developed medicine can use Manero designs. The video was filmed by the Collective Project.

“I am proud that I present the bionic arm of Iron Man Alex with the help of #CollectiveProject from @MSOneNote. Look at the tie, dandy, "- wrote Robert Downey Jr. on his twitter. At the time of this writing, the record retweeted more than 29 thousand people.
