The plot of the feature film tells how humanity in the early 80s of the last century sends a “time capsule” into space with various objects, including several iconic video games of the time. Decades later, aliens discover the capsule and interpret its contents as a declaration of war to their civilization. They send their own army to Earth, which takes the form of video games characters that are familiar to earthlings. To counter the alien invaders, the president of the United States formed a team of gaming specialists led by Sam Brenner, whose role was played by Adam Sandler.
