The careers of actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have gone exclusively uphill in recent years. Duchovny played the role of a writer-womanizer in the insanely popular comedy series “Californication”, and Anderson appeared in several serious films and TV shows like “Hannibal” and “Collapse.”
Only Chris Carter still could not get out of the shadow of his own brainchild. Whatever projects he took, everyone expected him to continue the X-Files, in which mysterious government agents tried to hide from people the truth that aliens are frequent guests of our planet.
