The Thurrott website, referring to unnamed sources, directly related to the development of HoloLens, the augmented reality set from Microsoft, reports that the developers of the augmented reality glasses decided to release an updated and improved version of the glasses, which, according to rumors, may appear as early as 2019.

Initially, the corporation intended to release a second version of the HoloLens headset - a more convenient and cheaper version was designed to replace the expensive and cumbersome version for developers that was published last year. An improved version of the glasses, with new features and capabilities, was to appear much later, after the second version is well run. But, according to rumors with Thurrott, Microsoft decided to start developing the third version of HoloLens right now.

Such a hurry is probably due to the fact that Microsoft has big plans for augmented reality, so the corporation is striving to occupy a niche by releasing AR-headsets for all comers ahead of competitors. They, by the way, have not yet appeared, but this does not mean that in such cases it is necessary to procrastinate. Microsoft did not comment on this rumor.
